Call to Action

We don't want to force conversations or testimonials to a system we may not care for very much. We hope to highlight and outline the experiences that most often get swept under the rug, for the sake of people's' comfort. How a life living as a numbered product in a system leaves its mark upon us, how our childhood was merely somebody's day job. What did you do when you realized that person you were waiting for was never going to come? When did you realize they were never even allowed?

From coping to conquering, let's tell it like it is.

If you have had experience in foster-care, or a systemically enforced transitional life, please do not hesitate to reach out so we can begin the communication process, and see if this project is something you would like to be a part of. We can't do it alone anymore, we are a bundle of arrows. Stronger together. We are the flock of birds, our songs reach further when sung together.

Collaborator Experience
(ie. Lived Experience Experts from the child welfare industry, social workers who have worked with transitional youth, foster parents who have helped youth prepare for life after care)

We understand this is a process of building communication and rapport and that the interviews may not happen initially. This is to begin the dialogue and set guidelines toward a schedule interviewed. Do you have experience transitioning out of the foster-care system and wish to share that knowledge? Or are you somebody who has worked to help youth in these types of situations and feel you have some wisdom to share that can help shape a better system?
